Amber J. Seay is a prominent member of the immigration legal community and was a contributor to the highly respected immigration law treatise “Immigration Law Practice” published in 2014. She has provided her immigration expertise on multiple news broadcasts, has presented CLEs before her fellow attorneys, and has spoken at several law schools. ​

Throughout her career, Amber’s work in immigration has included employment-based, deportation defense and family-based immigration. Amber is uniquely experienced, as she worked for the Memphis Immigration Court for 3 years after being selected as an Attorney Advisor through the highly competitive Department of Justice Honors Program. Amber’s practice at The Ehrisman Law Firm covers all areas of immigration law with a focus on family and employment-based immigration and complex citizenship issues. 8.

In 2010, Amber earned her J.D. from the University of Florida, a school she chose specifically for its immigration law program. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2006 with B.A. degrees in Spanish and Psychology.

Amber is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her motivation to pursue immigration law developed in college after volunteer experiences enabled her to meet farm workers and children separated from their parents due to the complex and often unfair immigration system. Inspired by these injustices, she set her mind to practice immigration law and has maintained that commitment for over a decade.

Amber Seay was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in 2020.
